10 Ways to Get your MOJO Back

By |January 13th, 2016|

While we all love having that inner glow that swishes happy and peaceful energy wherever we go (heads turn, comments fly, we feel almighty high).
It is also positively common to feel a pull that drags us down sometimes. It can last days, weeks or even months at a time. You know it. You feel it deep in your bones and are left feeling helpless, low, less distiguished and distracted. ICK!
If you have lost your drive, found a mud pit and are starting to unpack your bags… the good [...]

10 days to Christmas!!
Self Love CHALLENGE

I invite you to join me this Christmas in slowing down, appreciating the little things and giving yourself the care and attention you need not only to enjoy every day this season but also to prepare for all that is to come next year.
No matter what Christmas time brings, this time of year can bring mixed emotions and leave us with empty gas tanks. If we are not armed and ready, it can bring about a fast build up of stress, followed [...]

5 DAY Pre-Christmas Cleanse

By |November 18th, 2014|

We all have the capability of sticking to a plan, creating a whole new lifestyle and changing thoughts and habits. Yet most of us STILL seem to have trouble committing to our health over Christmas.
As a trainer and coach of almost 10 years (I can’t believe that number!), I have seen many healthy and unhealthy Christmas’s come and go. I have witnessed many colleagues, raw foodists, family, friends and life long clients turn into sugar-high spirits over the Christmas period. I have even had times in my life [...]

Protein. Let’s Talk.

By |August 25th, 2014|

Protein. Let’s talk.
It’s every bodybuilder’s favorite macronutrient and for good reason. It’s on the top of the list for discussion in lectures and round table discussions.

Protein is wonderful. It an essential part of our make up, is extremely satiating and is a true anabolic.

Though how much is too much ? Would it be too much if your kidneys exploded ??

Today I woke up to make my morning smoothie and decided upon something different. I was going to combine all the ingredients I use for my “usual” but would grind the nuts, grains and seeds to [...]

Do daily Affirmations really work?

By |August 15th, 2013|

Did you know our brains are wired to think around 60,000-70,000 thoughts per day.. AND approximately 70 percent of those thoughts are naturally negative?

Just doing a little speedy math, that is a minimum of around 42,000 negative thoughts per day!

The good news is, Deepak Chopra (world’s leading biomedical scientist on the mind) believes we can change our thought processes by re-wiring our neural brain networks (nerve patterns that create our thoughts) through lingual programming. Aka: Affirming something positive out loud!

We can think these positive thoughts, however it is best [...]

Cacao on the brain?

By |July 24th, 2013|

This week I had a mad craving for chocolate!

Strange, as I never really liked chocolate until I began enjoying raw cocoa shakes.

I started off with once a fortnight, then once a week and pretty soon I wanted it all the time. The more I had, the more I wanted.

This made me wonder about the raw food revolution, the high profits of raw cocoa manufacturers, the open tickets to cacao that fitness trainers and nutritionists were giving their clients and how over-consumption of this tasty little product may be affecting [...]

REAL advice on which juicer is best for you !

REAL advice on which juicer is best for YOU !

I have many people asking for my opinion on the best juicer to buy and in the last few years, I have spent a great deal of time talking to people in the industry, trying juicers first hand and researching their mechanical parts to understand their structure and how they work.

What have I come up with?

Well, unfortunately, there is no one juicer that suits everyone. Sorry!

There are just too many different factors involved, from produce types to cleaning, price, primary use, size and space!

As I spent more time in the juicing maze, I found a number [...]

When the couch calls…

By |July 9th, 2013|

Today we went into St Vincent’s bustling town Kingstown. It was the official day of Carnival 2013 and we were excited to get road side to see all the action. The local people were wearing bright creative costumes and smiles poured through the grand stand as each section moved onto the main stage for judging. An incredible sight!

The only trouble was.. my legs were tired, I felt exhausted, thought about the couch and began to yawn! What was wrong with me?

Of course as a fitness and health coach, I [...]

Absolicious Apple Pie

By |July 4th, 2013|

After 3 days of juicing greens and a long week working on projects, I’m ready to treat myself to a massage, some relaxation and incredible food. We are planning some mysterious mexican dishes for our Sunday meal and I just can’t think of a better dessert than good old fashioned Apple Pie!
But .. why do our stomachs turn, our fear levels rise and our hearts sink when we hear these two words. Is it because we are desperately desiring just a tiny taste of the sweet combination of fruit [...]
